We have all heard the saying, “Fake it till you make it!” This is a saying that tells us that even though we are going through a tough time in our life, we should just put on a smile and a like everything is just fine! Just “Fake it till you make it!”
Trust me, we’ve all been there! Times where we feel that even though our whole world is falling apart, and we just have no more strength to go on, we just have to smile and act like nothing is wrong. You may feel that you just have to keep it all in because nobody will understand or care about the problems you may be facing in your life.
Let me encourage you… there is someone who knows exactly what you are going through! And he cares! He cares about every single problem, fear, or worry you have in your life. No matter how big or small it may be.
Instead of following the saying “Fake it till you make it,” let’s give those problems and worries to God and “Faith it till you make it!”
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” – Psalms 46:1
Psalms 46 talks about how we should not fear even when everything may be falling apart around us! God tells us in verse 10 to “Be still and know that I am God.”
When we feel we just don’t have the strength to go on anymore, God wants us to know that he’s got our back! He’s there to carry our load for us!
The word refuge means, “a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.” He is our safe place! So, when you feel that you have no strength to go on, just run to Jesus! He is our strength!
Hard times will still come into our lives, but God is there with us through them all! There’s an old hymn that says “He’s in the midst of our storm, the Valley we walk through.” Where two or three are gathered in his name, he’ll be there too. When you feel all alone, he is standing next to you! He’s with us now, our Lord he’s in the midst!
God never promised us that our life as a Christian would always be easy! But he does promise to always be there with us every step of the way!
“…I will never leave thee, not forsake thee.” – Hebrews 13:5b
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: my strength is made perfect in weakness.” – II Corinthians 12:9
When we are too weak to stand, have faith in God! He will be there to carry us through!
Instead of using the saying “Fake it till you make it,” let’s just give those problems to God and “Faith it till you make it!”
