Pocket Preachers!

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” (Proverbs 11:30)
There are two main reasons that people don’t go soul-winning… laziness and fear.  While most people don’t go because they are lazy, there are some that have a desire to go but are worried that they won’t know what to say at the door!  I believe there are good Christians out there that have a burden to go soul-winning, just can’t get past the uncertainty of what they will be asked at each house.  Is there a solution to this problem?

Yes there is!  Passing out tracts is a great way to spread the gospel!  I consider tracts to be “portable preachers.”  You can take them anywhere and give them to anyone!  Tracts come in many different shapes and sizes, but they all contain the gospel!  Too scared to talk to a co-worker about Jesus?  You could at least give them a tract!

Tracts are a great tool that every Christian should use.  There have been countless people saved by reading a tract and praying to God for salvation!  Tracts give anyone the power to clearly give the gospel to a lost soul!  Don’t believe me?  Here is a quick testimony of Dr. Wally Beebe…

Dr. Wally Beebe
“Mr. Bus”

“Walter Stuart Beebe was born on February 27, 1934, in Columbus, Ohio. Having never been in a fundamental church, he knew nothing about the Bible and being saved. When he was running a gas station on Route 41 in South Florida, a girl gave him a Gospel tract. He went to the back of the station where he changed tires, read the tract, and received Christ as his Saviour. The Holy Spirit opened his eyes, and he immediately turned from the wild life of sin. He began preaching two weeks later and faithfully preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 51 years.”

See that? All because one little girl gave Dr. Beebe a tract at the gas station one day, God was able to use him to preach for 51 years, impacts bus kids across America, and see thousands of souls saved!  Tracts are powerful!  Don’t underestimate them!

I encourage you to grab a stack of tracts and carry them with you throughout the week.  Place them on gas pumps when you leave, pass them out when you pass someone on the sidewalk, and always give them to your cashiers and waitresses! You never know who you may be giving that tract to!

Pass out tracts!
